Yes

Go to Step 4.

No

Go to the next step.

RESYNCHRONIZE THE TRANSMITTER
Press any button on the inoperative transmitter four times consecutively.
Does the transmitter operate correctly?

Yes
|
Clear the DTC and repeat the DTC inspection.
|
No
|
Go to the next step.

INSPECT SECOND TRANSMITTER
Inspect for another transmitter that works with the vehicle.
Is there another transmitter that works with the vehicle?

Yes
|
Go to the next step.
|
No
|
Go to Step 5.

|
RESYNCHRONIZE THE INOPERATIVE TRANSMITTER USING THE SECOND TRANSMITTER
Press any button on the operational transmitter.
Within 30 seconds press a button on the inoperative transmitter.
Inspect the inoperative keyless entry remote for correct operation.
Does the transmitter in question operate correctly?

Yes

Inspect the system for normal operation.

No

Go to the next step.

INSPECT THE TRANSMITTER TIC AND DATA
PROGRAM all of the transmitters.(See TRANSMITTER ID CODE PROGRAMMING.)
Does the transmitter operate correctly?

Yes
|
INFORM the customer that any additional transmitters not present during the programming mode will not operate with the vehicle. All transmitters must be programmed at the same time.
Inspect the system for normal operation.
