POSSIBLE CAUSE

• Malfunction in the rear wiper motor

• Malfunction in the CJB

• Malfunction in the related wiring harness

Diagnostic Procedure

INSPECTION

ACTION

INSPECT RELATED WIRING HARNESS VOLTAGE
Turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position.
Disconnect the rear wiper motor connector.
Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
Measure the voltage at rear wiper motor terminal D.
Is the voltage more than 10 V?
Yes
Replace the rear wiper motor. (See REAR WIPER MOTOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
No
Go to the next step.

INSPECT RELATED WIRING HARNESS IN CJB FOR OPEN CIRCUIT
Turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position.
Measure the resistance between rear wiper motor terminal D and CJB J-01 terminal F.
Is the resistance less than 5 ohms?
Yes
Replace the CJB.
No
Repair the related wiring harness.
