• Malfunction in the BTN2 40 A fuse [except L3]

• Malfunction in the BTN2 60 A fuse [L3]

• Malfunction in the STOP 15 A fuse

• Malfunction in the brake switch

• Malfunction in the related wiring harnesses

Diagnostic Procedures

STEP

INSPECTION

ACTION

INSPECT RELATED WIRING HARNESSES FOR SHORT TO GROUND
Disconnect the CJB connector.
Measure the resistance between CJB J-02 terminal D and ground.
Does the resistance exceed 10,000 ohms?
Yes
Go to the next step.
No
Repair the related wiring harness.

INSPECT BRAKE SWITCH VOLTAGE
Connect the CJB connector.
Disconnect the brake switch connector.
Measure the voltage at brake switch terminal B.
Does the voltage exceed 10 V?
Yes
Go to the next step.
No
Repair the related wiring harness.

INSPECT BRAKE SWITCH
Turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position.
Connect a jumper wire (with 15 A fuse) between brake switch terminals A and B.
Does the brake light illuminate?
Yes
Replace the brake switch. (See BRAKE SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
No
Repair the related wiring harness.
