General
Map-supported position finding (map matching) is only possible in the digitized area of the CD-ROM map.

A deviation can be recognized and corrected automatically by comparing the calculated position of the vehicle with the CD-ROM map.

Function
The position of the vehicle is followed continuously on the CD-ROM map by the navigation computer. In the event of any deviations to the route from the calculated path, the position coordinates of the basic position finding are corrected, if required.
