Stone chipping guard filler, Graz plant

Material type: Hydrofiller

This water-dilutable primer filler on a polyurethane base, forms an elastic base for the top coat.
This process substantially reduces the use of solvents while simultaneously affording enhanced protection against the depredations wreaked by stone chipping.

Processing procedure:
The body is cleaned prior to application of the filler.
The impact-resistant filler is a supplementary outer-panel primer and is applied in a single operation using automated ESTA equipment.

Manual application is used at the door and tailgate seam, door frame (partially) and edge of the hood.
The entire body outer skin is coated with this hydrofiller.
Following drying, for 17 min at 155 degree C, the filler is subjected to a partial sanding operation (to deal with surface imperfections).
