ME Engine Speed Signal Function
ME Engine Speed Signal Function
Signal assignment, shown on engine 119
1 Crank angle
2 Cylinder ignition TDC
3 Signal from crankshaft position sensor (L5)
4 Signal from camshaft Hall sensor (B6/1)
5 TNA speed signal
a Detection of cylinder 1
Task
From the signals of the crankshaft position sensor produce the short circuit-proof TNA rpm signal and distribute to further control units.
Design/function
Square-wave signal with constant on/off ratio, maximum current approx. 20 mA.
Engine 111: 2 pulses/engine revolution
Engine 104, 112, 137: 3 pulses/engine revolution
Engine 119, 113: 4 pulses/engine revolution
Engine 120: 3 pulses/engine revolution (from right ME-SFI control unit)
Engine 111 EVO: 6 pulses/engine revolution
Engine 112, 113 EURO 3/4: 6 pulses/engine revolution
