Adjust ridge pattern
1 Loosen locknuts (5) and adjust rear ridge pattern A by lifting or lowering sliding door on adjusting screw (6).
2 Tighten jam nuts (5).
3 Loosen Torx bolts (7, 9) on upper and lower carriage.
4 Match front ridge pattern A at upper carriage by lifting or lowering sliding door.
5 Tighten Torx screws (7, 9). Observe specified tightening torque.
Do not lift or pull down sliding door over locking eye. When the ridge pattern coincides, the bottom and top gap dimensions on the sliding door should be within the specified tolerance range. For optical reasons, a slightly wedge-shaped gap dimension at the top and bottom is preferable to a ridge offset.
6 Loosen Torx bolts (8) for locking eye as well as striker bolt (15) for auxiliary lock and adapt to modified door adjustment by moving lock striker/striker pin (15) vertically (arrow).
7 Tighten Torx bolts (8) and striker pin (15). Observe specified tightening torque.
Adjust B-pillar gap dimension and C-pillar gap dimension.
8 Loosen bolts (10) and adjust B-pillar gap dimension and C-pillar gap dimension as well as minimum distance between sliding door and center guide rail by horizontally moving center carriage (11).
When adjusting ensure that, during the closing procedure (catch in door lock), the sliding door does not collide with the center guide rail. The specified minimum distance is prior to the adjustment of the C-pillar gap dimension. Otherwise the paint can be damaged.
9 Tighten bolts (10). Observe specified tightening torque.
