Discharging

1. Remove protective caps from low side fitting.
2. Ensure gauge valves are closed, then connect low side of manifold gauge set to low side fitting. A special adapter may be required on some models.
3. Place open end of center manifold hose in suitable container to collect any oil that may be lost when discharging refrigerant.
4. Open low side valve on manifold until refrigerant begins to flow out without discharging refrigerant oil from system, then close valve.
5. Measure amount of oil collected in container. Note amount and discard oil. Add an equal amount of oil to system before recharging.
