Repair Instructions For Air Conditioning System

Attention! Carefully observe "Service Precautions". Service Precautions

1 Repairs are permitted with air-conditioning system drained only.
2 Even though the system has been drained. a slight residual pressure may be present when loosening some connection or other. In such a case, reduce pressure slowly prior to loosening connection completely.
3 When handling refrigerant circuit, immediately close all openings airtight with closing plugs.
4 During assembly, make particularly sure that all connections and sealing rings are in perfect condition. It will be of advantage to use new sealing rings for repairs. To avoid damage, moisten sealing surfaces and seals always with special refrigerant oil.
5 When tightening connections, always apply counterhold with a wrench and tighten to specified torque. If this is not done, the connections will be subject to early leaks. Prior to filling system with refrigerant, check oil volume in compressor first and then evacuate entire system.
6 Store all parts dry and in enclosed condition.
7 Blow out refrigerant hoses, pipe lines, condensers and evaporators prior to installation with nitrogen or refrigerant R 12.
8 During assembly, remove closing plug from components only shortly prior to installation. This is particularly important for filter drier (receiver dehydrator). A receiver dehydrator with filter drier which is not closed will be saturated quickly and become unfit for use.
