No 1-2 or 2-3 Upshift at Full Throttle or Kick-Down Etc......





NOTE: Test drive vehicle with selector lever in position. It complaint is verified for full throttle condition (without kickdown), follow step 2.






CAUSE:
1. Kickdown solenoid valve is continuously energized or is stuck (distorted, dirty).
2. Throttle control pressure set too high.

REMEDY:
1. Check kickdown switch, full pump relay and kick down solenoid valve, replace if necessary.
2. Remove transmission oil pan.
Turn screw on valve body (arrow) clockwise approximately 1 to 2 revolutions
(1 turn clockwise = approx. 5 mph earlier full throttle upshift),
(1 turn counterclockwise = approx. 5 mph later full throttle upshift).
