When replacing the seat diode (plug "F" under fusebox), be sure to solder the diode into the connector correctly (Figure 1) While the diagrams shown may be used as a guide, the best method is to duplicate the plug that was previously installed in the vehicle.





When soldering diodes, use d low wattage soldering iron to prevent the diode from being overheated. A "heat sink" (alligator clip) should be used by attaching the clip to the diode wire between the diode and the place being soldered. Allow the solder to cool before removing the clip (Figure 2).
