Required Test Equipment

All the tests below require a volt/ohmmeter and a Bosch tester (126 589 09 21 00), Fig. 5. This permits checking the entire ABS system with the exception of the ECU. Also required is an overvoltage protection relay adapter.

CONNECTING BOSCH TESTER

1. Remove electronic control unit with the ignition switched off.
2. Connect plug (35-pin) of cable set for electronic control unit with plug of adapter.
3. Connect multimeter to Bosch tester (used to take voltage and resistance measurements).

NOTE: Do not drive vehicle with adapter connected.
