Test D (Vacuum Circuit 3, Footwell Flaps 39)

TEST D:
TESTING VACUUM CIRCUIT 3, VACUUM ELEMENT FOR FOOTWELL FLAPS (39) FOR LEAKS:

Preparation for Test:

Check Valve (36):

1. Disconnect dark red/green vacuum line at check valve (36) and connect tester to vacuum line.
2. Switch on ignition.

NOTE: The tester remains connected to the dark red/green vacuum line for the entire duration of the test.

Test Procedure:






1. Press the "UPPER/LOWER AIR" function key on the control unit and engage temperature selector at "MAX".
2. Evacuate with tester (approx. 400 mbar) and read off pressure gauge.
3. If reading on pressure gauge changes, test vacuum element (39) directly and replace if necessary, or test red/yellow vacuum line and replace if necessary.
