Retrofitting Drainage Line

Parts: The drainage line is supplied as a parts kit, Part No. 117 200 00 52
1. Detach, attach fan cowl. Remove viscous fan clutch and fan together with fan cowl, install. Tightening torque of collar bolts 25 Nm.
2. Remove V-belts for power steering pump, alternator, AC compressor and air pump, install.
3. Remove crankshaft belt pulley, install. Tightening torque of hexagon bolts 35 Nm.
4 Rivet sleeve (arrow) into bottom vent hole at coolant pump housing.
5 Attach bracket (item 1) with M 8 x 20 and M 8 nut (item 2) to the tank of the drainage line (item 3)
6 Push drainage line with tank and bracket onto the riveted sleeve.
7 Unscrew bolts securing bottom part of oil sump at top part of sump and replace with M6 x 25 hexagon socket bolts (arrows). Screw on bracket with tank with M6 nut.
NOTE: After installing, ensure adequate clearance between drainage line and moving parts.
On engines with anti-knock control (AKR). press the clip for the AKR line into the hole (arrow) on the bracket.
