Slips During 2-3 Upshift, Slips at Start of Gearshift and Grabs
CAUSE/REMEDY:
1. - Vehicles With 8 And 12 Cylinder Engines (with "B" switch on shift gate):
With the engine running, there must be voltage at the transmission kickdown solenoid valve when the selector lever "B" and/or kickdown switch is activated.
- All Vehicles With Gasoline Engines:
Check for blockage in vacuum line from engine intake manifold to vacuum modulator on transmission.
- Vehicles With Diesel Engines:
Check vacuum control (vacuum at transmission vacuum modulator measured in closed throttle position approx. 0.4 bar, full throttle position 0 bar).
2. Remove valve body and check whether temperature throttle (119) is installed.
3. Check teflon rings on front cover K1 support flange, replace clutch 1 if required.
