Passenger Airbag

REMOVING

1. Ignition Switch off.
2. Negative terminal of battery Disconnect and cover.
3. Foot mat in passenger's footwell Remove.
4. Foot rest in passenger's footwell Unscrew and remove.
5. Red test coupling for airbag plug connection Disconnect.
6. Central retaining bolt (2) for passenger airbag unit Unscrew and remove unit.
7. Plug connectors on passenger airbag unit Disconnect and remove unit.

Note: Disconnecting these automatically activates a short-circuiting link in the gas generator. The plug connectors must lock audibly. The SRS warning lamp must go out after approx. 4 seconds.

INSTALL IN THE REVERSE SEQUENCE.

Note: No further work must be performed on the entire airbag unit.After removal always store the airbag unit with the cushioned side uppermost.

Note: The airbag unit is only available a spare pan as a single complete unit.
