B. Wiring and Cable Connection

1. Remove the radio bus cable (white connector) from the radio tuner/amplifier, add the bus extension cable and connect to the CD changer (white socket) connection marked "Frontgeraet".

2. Connect the CD changer bus cable (black connector) to the CD changer (white socket marked with black dot) connection marked "Tuner", and the other end to the radio receiver (the socket which was freed in the previous step).

3. Remove the power supply cable and add the Y-piece/extension. Connect short end of Y-piece/extension to radio power socket and long end to CD changer power socket.

4. Place the CD changer atop the spare tire compartment and neatly secure all cables using wire loom ties (not supplied).

5. Reinstall the wheel well liner, leaving the rear section open to provide access.

6. Install the top mounting bracket using the 6 mm bolt (through the liner and the liner support bracket).

HINT:
Install the nut and washer by reaching behind the liner/support bracket. Position the top bracket in the outlined area (step g in section A) and fasten the bolt/nut.

7. Install the CD changer shell assembly and fasten the top mounting bracket with the bolt, then the bottom bracket with sheet metal screws.

8. Reinstall the trunk floor mat.

9. Resecure the wheel well liner.
