30 km/h Limit Function

Task
Limiting maximum speed to 30 km/h when the accelerator is operated.

Design
The 30 km/h limit can be activated with the cruise control switch at a speed below approx. 35 km/h. In this case, the readout of the ambient temperature display indicates 30 km/h.
The vehicle speed is limited by closing the throttle valve. In addition, a downshift of the automatic transmission can be requested over the CAN.

If the permissible speed is exceeded when the 30 km/h limit is activated (e.g. deceleration mode when driving downhill), a warning signal sounds.
Function
Switching on 30 km/h limit:
- Vehicle speed < 35 km/h
- Press cruise control switch into "decelerate" position.

Switching off 30 km/h limit:
- Press cruise control switch into "off" position.
or
- Operate kickdown switch.
