Special Tool
Installation Notes:
- Only the complete airbag unit is considered to be a spare part.
- The airbag unit must not be treated with grease, solvents or other cleaning agents.
- The airbag unit must not be exposed to temperatures in excess of 100°C (212° F), not even temporarily.
- The airbag unit is highly sensitive to shocks. If it is dropped from a height in excess of 50 cm (1.6 ft.) onto a hard surface it may no longer be installed. Instead it should be returned to the Sindelfingen factory in special transport packing.
- Before installing the airbag unit check that the ground cable has been disconnected from the battery, the terminal covered and the ignition key set to position "0".
