Overlap Regulating Valve
LOCATION
- An overlap regulating valve is assigned to each shift group. The overlap regulating valve 1-2/4-5 is installed in the slide housing and the overlap regulating valves 2-3 and 4-5 are installed in the valve housing.
TASK
- The overlap requiring valve controls the pressure reduction during a shift phase.
FUNCTION
- During the shift phase the pressure in the disengaging shift element is controlled depending on the engine load (modulator pressure) and the pressure in the engaging shift element. The regulated pressure is inversely proportional to the transmission capability of the engaging shift element (controlled overlap).
