Dismantle/Assemble Shift Plate






REMOVAL





1. Unscrew leaf spring (82)
2. Unscrew Torn bolts (71)
3. Remove valve housing (72) from shift housing (74)





4. Remove strainer for modulating pressure and shift pressure control solenoid valve





5. Remove strainer in inlet to converter lock-up control solenoid valve





6. Remove sealing plate (73)
- There are a total of 12 valve balls in the shift housing, four plastic (75) and eight steel (76)
- Check all valve balls for condition and ease of movement








7. Unscrew side cover from shift housing and valve housing
- Check all valves for ease of movement
- The sleeves and pistons of the regulating valves (72.2), (72.8) and (74.18) must not be mixed up.
- The shift valve/B2 (74.27) can only be removed and installed when the valve housing is removed





- Installation of a pressure feed valve

INSTALLATION
- Install in reverse order, noting the following information:
- Check all valves for ease of movement
- Ensure the utmost cleanliness at all times when working on the shift plate.
- Fuzzy cloths must not be used.
- Chamois leathers are particularly suitable.
- After dismantling, all parts must be washed and blown out with compressed air, ensuring that the parts do not get blown away
- Insert plain dowel pin (59) in shift housing (arrow)
- Tighten 6 x 30 mm torx socket bolts, valve housing to shift housing to: 8 Nm
- Tighten 4 x 12 mm torx socket bolts, side cover to valve and shift housing to: 4 Nm
