Removing And Installing Instrument Cluster Housing


Model 202, 210:




Model 208:






1 Disconnect ground lead from battery

CAUTION: On model 210 insulate the ground lead with cable terminal to prevent unintentional contact between disconnected ground lead and ground point W10.

2 Remove instrument cluster
3 Unclip retaining lugs (arrows)

NOTE: Installation: Retaining lugs must catch completely

4.1 Separate housing (64) from electronic board with instruments (65)

NOTE: Installation: On model 202 as of 08/95 ensure that reset knob for trip odometer and adjustment knob for electronic clock are properly positioned.

4.2 Separate housing (64) from electronic board with instruments (65)

NOTE: Installation: On model 208 ensure correct seat of rubber inserts (62)

5 Remove symbol strips (66)

NOTE:
- On model 202 up to 08/95 pull symbol strips out to side
- On model 202 as of 09/95, and model 210 pull symbol strips out toward bottom
- On model 208 unclip plastic insert (63) at bottom of instrument cluster housing, pull back slightly and remove symbol strips downward.
- Installation: When replacing symbol strips pay attention to vehicle equipment


6 Reinstall in opposite order
