Driving

The entire Parktronic system (PTS) is active only at speeds below 15 km/h.

When a speed of 15 km/h is exceeded, the PTS switches to standby mode, i.e. the control module deactivates the background illumination of the displays and activates the sensors according to the direction of travel (forward/reverse).

When a speed of 40 km/h is exceeded, the entire PTS is deactivated by the PTS control module.

When the speed drops back below the above speeds, the PTS is activated in the reverse sequence to that described above. In vehicles with automatic transmission, all sensors are activated when the selector lever is at position P.


NOTE: Sensor activation in selector lever position P is not applicable on models 163, 203, 215, 220.
