Interior - Front Door Wooden Trim Panel Loose

Loose/Disengaged Wood Trim for Seat Adjustment Controls on Front Door Panel

If you receive customer reports in the above model vehicles of the wood trim for the seat adjustment controls on the front door being no longer securely attached, this may be due to the fastening hook on the underside of the wood trim breaking or falling off. To remedy, perform the below procedure.





1. Slide one of the kit included hooks onto mounting plate (Figure 1).





2. Center punch the desired drilling location on the mounting plate (Figure 2).

3. Remove kit included hook.





4. Drill two 3 mm deep holes into the mounting plate using the center punched holes as a guide and a 2 mm drill bit (Figure 3).

5. Slide the kit included hook back onto mounting plate.





6. Secure hook by using two kit included screws (Figure 4).

Warning!
Do not over tighten screws.
