With the correction programming it is possible to activate different maps of the engine management system in the engine control unit.
The coding is performed with the Hand-Held Tester (HHT) or with STAR DIAGNOSIS. The following maps can be influenced:
- Ignition maps for adapting to different fuel quality (except (USA))
- Mixture maps for enriching the fuel/air mixture in different operating states (except (USA))
- Idle speed on automatic transmission and engaged selector lever position
- CO setting on models without TWC (except (USA))
- Fault setting conditions for rendering smooth operation identification less sensitive
- Cylinder shutoff threshold (on engines fitted with cylinder shutoff)
