Replace Rear Damper Valves

NOTE: Numbers in parentheses ( ) indicate a component or tool in the associated illustration.

WARNING:
^ Risk of Injury to skin or eyes due to hydraulic fluid spraying out under high pressure
^ Risk of poisoning due to consuming hydraulic fluid

NOTE:
^ Before starting work on the hydraulic system, depressurize the system
^ Wear protective clothing and safety gasses

REMOVAL
1. Empty pressure oil system of rear axle
2. Disconnect pressure lines (P4) at the damper valves (Y53, Y54)
3. Detach Damper valve at bracket, disconnect electrical

INSTALLATION
Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
- Replace self-locking screws and nuts
- Tighten Automatic Damping System (ADS) pressure line to damper valve as follows:
- 16 x 1.5 mm: 30 Nm
- 18 x 1.5 mm: 44 Nm
- Fill pressure oil system of rear axle
- Tighten self-locking bolt of damper valve as follows:
- Left damper valve on bracket to: 24 Nm
- Right damper valve on bracket to: 14 Nm
