Function of Transmission Housing Breather

LOCATION
- The breather (72) is located on the top side of the converter housing on the transmission.

TASK
- Breathing ensures pressure equalization with changes in volume of the transmission fluid and air in the transmission housing due to temperature.

FUNCTION
- A channel cast in the converter housing connects the inside of the transmission with the breather (72).
