Upshift/Downshift Solenoid Valve

LOCATION
- In the supporting body of the electrical control unit and pressed against the shift plate with a leaf spring.

TASK
- The solenoid valves (Y3/6y3, Y3/6y4, Y3/6y5) initiate the sequence of the upshifts and downshifts in the shift plate.

DESIGN
- The solenoid valves (Y3/6y3, Y3/6y4, Y3/6y5) are sealed at the valve housing of the shift plate (2a) by two O-rings (34, 35). The contact springs (32) on the solenoid valve engage in a slot in the printed conductors (33). Reliable contacting is ensured by the spring force of the contact spring (32).

FUNCTIONS
- When a solenoid valve is actuated via the transmission control module, it opens and leads control pressure (p-SV) to the assigned command valve (31). The solenoid valve remains actuated and therefore open until the shift process is complete. The shift pressure (p-SV) to the command valve is reduced to zero as soon as the solenoid valve is switched de-energized.
