AR07.08-P-7008P Remove/Install Injection System Control Module







Remove/Install

DANGER:
- Risk of injury in the form of trapping or crushing, or even severing of limbs, if caught in windshield wiper mechanism
- Always remove ignition key when working on windshield wiper mechanism.


1 Move windshield wipers to vertical position

DANGER:
- Risk of explosion from explosive gas. Risk of poisoning and caustic burns from swallowing battery electrolyte. Risk of injury through burns to skin and eyes from battery acid or when handling damaged lead-acid batteries
- No fire, sparks, naked flames or smoking.
- Wear acid-resistant gloves, clothing and goggles. Pour battery electrolyte only into suitable and appropriately marked containers.


2 Disconnect ground cable of battery
- Do not connect quiescent current retention unit, otherwise damages can occur in the control modules

3 Slacken electrical line washer nozzle heater (6) and washer nozzle hose (7) from water repellent (5) (arrow) and place to the side
4 Unlock and remove cover (2)

NOTE: Installation: Check cover gasket, replace if damaged.

5.1 Lift CDI control module (N3/9) out of module box (1)
5.2 Lift ME-SFI control module (N3/10) out of module box (1)
6 Lock and detach clutches(4)

NOTE: Begin with front connector.

7.1 Remove CDI control module (N3/9) from module box (1)
7.2 Remove ME-SFI control module (N3/10) from module box (1)
8 Install in the reverse order
9 Perform basic programming
10 Read out fault memory with STAR DIAGNOSIS and erase if necessary
- Diagnosis system STAR DIAGNOSIS

NOTE: After completion of the work, it is necessary to process and erase the DTCs stored in the DTC memory during assembly and testing work due to disconnected lines and simulation.
