Pushing off

1 Unscrew self-locking nut from supporting joint on steering knuckle (5).
2 Attach thrust piece (07a).
3 Press off supporting joint using puller (07).
Do not damage boot, otherwise lubricant will escape from the supporting joint. This results in increased wear.
4 and Remove puller (07) thrust piece (07a).

Attaching

5 Clean tapered connection.
The cone and thread must be free of grease and oil
6 Replace self-locking nut and screw on. If necessary, counterhold ball head using an Allen wrench.
