SUBJECT: All Model 203, 209 and 211 Vehicles
Electric Head Restraint Height Adjuster Not Functioning

If you receive customer reports in the above model vehicles that the electric head restraint height adjuster is not functioning, the printed circuit board (PCB) at the motor may have broken due to tension applied to it by the wiring harness. Fault code 9203, hall sensor of component M27m4 (Head restraint raise/lower motor) is faulty, may also be present.

1. Remove the head restraint height adjuster per WIS document AR91.29-P-1432P (203 and 209) or AR91.29-P-1432T (211).

2. Use a cable tie to secure wiring harness to strut (Figure 1, arrow)







3. Guide wiring harness behind top transverse wire (Figure 2, arrow)







4. Reinstall the head restraint height adjuster per WIS document AR91.29-P-1432P (203 and 209) or AR91.29-P-1432T (211).
