The speed of Y3/6n2 or Y3/6n3 is too high.


Possible cause:

- Y3/6n2 (speed sensor 2)
- Y3/6n3 (speed sensor 3)

1. Check component Y3/6n2 (speed sensor 2).

Test sequence

- Switch off ignition.
- Connect socket box.
- Program selector switch in position W/C
- Conduct a road test.
- Ensure that second gear is engaged during the road test.Check that the displayed actual values match.

Measure direct voltage with multimeter between sockets [1.33] 33 and [1.12] 12 of the 126-pole socket box tester.Specified value:

Possible cause

- The pulse ring has detached from connector K1.
Remedy

- Disassemble and assemble automatic transmission using the repair instructions.

- Component Y3/6n2 (speed sensor 2) is defective.
Possible remedy

- Inspect wiring and plug connections between Transmission and control unit N15/3 (ETC [EGS] control unit) for corrosion, loose contacts and damage.
- Repair wiring.
