[4] B11/4 (Coolant Temperature Sensor): Minimum Engine Temperature For Lambda Control Has Not Been Reached

[4] B11/4 (Coolant Temperature Sensor): Minimum Engine Temperature For Lambda Control Has Not Been Reached [P0125]

Test 1: Check actual value B11/4 (Coolant temperature sensor)
Test 2: Test internal resistance of component B11/4 (Coolant temperature sensor)

1 Check actual value B11/4 (Coolant temperature sensor)

Note: If fault exists, vehicle continues operating with substitute value from the temperature model

Test prerequisite
- Run engine
Status of relevant actual value:
- Temperature of coolant: Communication with ECU required

Specified value
- Actual value must change accordingly.

Question: Is the actual value o.k.?

2 Test internal resistance of component B11/4 (Coolant temperature sensor)

Test prerequisite
- The actual value is not o.k.

Test sequence
- Switch off ignition.
- Detach the socket at the component B11/4 (Coolant temperature sensor).
- (B11/4) 1<-->2 (B11/4)

Specified values
- Resistor (°C): [2940...3240]
- Resistor (°C]: [1900...2100]
- Resistor (°C): [1265...1395]
- Resistor (°C): [855...945]
- Resistor (°C): [590...650]
- Resistor (°C): [420...460]
- Resistor (°C): [305...335]
- Resistor (°C): [220...240]
- Resistor (°C): [160...180]

Question: Are the measured values okay?

No
- The measured values are not o.k.
Possible cause and remedy
- B11/4 (Coolant temperature sensor)
**End of test**

Yes
- The measured values are o.k.
**End of test**
