GF82.60-P-3115-04Q Radio Control Panel, Function

The control buttons and switches of the radio (A2) are read in by the microcontroller and made available to the central computer. Depending on the system function the button actuations undergo further processing in the central computer or sent to other system components in the form of a data telegram via the Digital Data Bus (D2B) or the Controller Area Network Bus class B (interior) (CANB).

If the "ON" button on the rotary switch is pressed, the radio (A2) switches on. The volume is regulated at the rotary switch for the audio source adjusted in each case. The main function keys switch to the audio source selected by the user or the telephone. If the user presses the "Tone settings" function key, the settings for bass, treble, balance, fader, volume adaptation and traffic announcements can be modified.
Using the "Mute" function button, the audio source currently being listened to is muted. The output signal is suppressed and the cassette drive or the CD drive is paused.

The cross-shaped rocker switch can be used, for example, for searching in the telephone book or to carry out permanently programmed commands for the respective function level. If the user presses one of the two Search function buttons, this function is carried out in the current function level.
