GF80.61-P-3013Q Communication Of Remote Control Key With Vehicle, Function
- with CODE (889) Keyless Go

Component Identification:

Remote control key sensing areas

Outer area
^ The Keyless go left door antenna (A2/38) and Keyless go right door antenna (A2/40) are supplied with power by the Keyless go left door control module (N69/8) and Keyless go right door control module (N69/9). They generate a field covering areas A and B
^ The Keyless go rear bumper antenna (A2/31) is actuated by the Keyless go rear control module (N102) and covers area C. Keyless go antennas (A2/31, A2/38, A2/40) ensure a range of approx. 1.5 m and are actuated by a frequency of 20 kHz.

Inner area
^ The Keyless go trunk antenna (A2/35) is actuated by the Keyless go rear control module (N102) and covers area D.
^ The interior keyless go control module (N103) generates a field covering the front section of area E.

The remaining coverage of area E is accomplished by the mirror image areas A, B, and D.

The Keyless go RF antenna cable end (Z87/15) is a coaxial cable routed without shielding and without insulation below the left rear side paneling.

Communication between remote control key and vehicle* Function prerequisites:
^ Remote control key in areas A, B, C, D or E.
^ Pulling on one of the door handles.
^ Actuation of left door handle switch or right door handle switch
^ Pulling on handle recess for opening trunk lid.
^ Actuation of Keyless go trunk lid button
^ Actuation of Keyless go start and stop button on selector lever

Operating procedure
Wakeup signals and then locating signals are transmitted via the Keyless go antennas (A2/31, A2/35, A2/38, A2/40) and Keyless go passenger compartment control module (N103) to the remote control key.
The remote control key determines its position in relation to the vehicle and transmits it to the keyless go rear control module (N102) via the cable end of the keyless RF antenna (Z87/15).
The Keyless go rear control module (N102) checks for a valid remote control key via Keyless go antennas (A2/31, A2/35, A2/38, A2/40) and Keyless go passenger compartment control module (N103).

The remote control key transmits the access and drive authorization code to the keyless go rear control module (N102) via the cable end of RF keyless go antenna (Z87/15) The latter transmits the code to the EIS control module for checking via the keyless go data line. Here, the codes are checked and enabled, if applicable.
