1. Shorten the intake fitting extension (1) to dimension (A).

The rest of the intake fitting extension (hatched section) can be disposed of.

2. Through the opening for the right tank half fuel level sensor (B4/2) of the fuel tank (3) slide the intake fitting extension (1) approx. 10...15 mm onto the intake fitting (2) of the stationary heater.

The intake fitting (2) of the stationary heater is located in the fuel tank (3) at the level of the right-hand seat belt buckle in the rear (see picture).

The chamfered side of the intake fitting extension (1) must point downwards.

Technical skills and sensitivity are advantageous for carrying out this operation step.

The intake fitting extension (1) must not contact the bottom of the fuel tank.
