The emergency lighting actuation should avoid the complete failure of the exterior lights due to the failure of the interior CAN
(CAN B) or of a control module processor.

Emergency lighting actuation if interior CAN (CAN B) fails
When the ignition is switched on "circuit 15 ON" the taillamp parking lamp (E3e2) and taillamp parking lamp (E4e2) as well as the left license plate lamp (E19/1) and right license plate lamp (E19/2) are actuated.
Furthermore, the low beam (E1e2), low beam (E2e2), parking lamp/ standing lamp (E1e3), parking lamp/standing lamp (E2e2), left fog lamp (E5/1) and right fog lamp (E5/2) are available.

Emergency lighting actuation if processor in the rear SAM control module with fuse and relay module (N10/2) fails
When the ignition is switched on "circuit 15 ON" the taillamp parking lamp (E3e2) and taillamp parking lamp (E4e2) as well as the left license plate lamp (E19/1) and right license plate lamp are (E19/2) actuated.

Emergency light actuation on failure of processor in front SAM control module with fuse and relay module (N10/1)
When the ignition is switched on "circuit 15 ON" the low beam (E1e2), low beam (E2e2), standing lamp parking lamp (E1e3) and standing lamp parking lamp (E2e3) are actuated.

Emergency lighting actuation if the processor in the trailer recognition control module (N28/1) fails
When the ignition is switched on "circuit 15 ON" the trailer standing lamp is actuated via the 13-pin trailer hitch socket (X58).
