2 Cut white, 2-pin coupling of left front door separation point (X35/1) from branch-off line.
3 Use solder connectors to extend green (gn) and brown/green (br/gn) lines with an 800 mm long line, cross section 1.5 mm2.

Component Identification:

Component Identification:

The auto pilot system wiring harness (1) is routed forward starting from the left of the luggage compartment.

4 Connect brown (br) branch-off line from the auto pilot system wiring harness (1) to ground (left wheelhouse in luggage compartment) (W6).
5 Fasten wiring harness for auto pilot system (1) in interior as per the picture onto left wheelhouse and to on-board wiring harnesses.

The blue and green color codings on the auto pilot system wiring harness (1) must line up with the identically colored markings on the on-board wiring harness

Shown on model 211.0

6 Connect the black, 1-pin coupling (sw) with the red line (rt) of the auto pilot system wiring harness to plug position 28 (see arrow in magnifying glass at bottom) on the rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2).
7 Connect green, 2-pin coupling (gn) with brown and brown/red line from the auto pilot system wiring harness to plug position 11 (see arrow in magnifying glass at top) on the rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2).

Plug position 11 is marked in green.

8 Expose and separate the standard, white, 2-pin interior/sound system connector (X18/4) with blue (bl) line in the left rear cable duct.
9 Connect the white, 2-pin plug from the auto pilot system wiring harness (1) with the standard installed, 2-pin coupling and route into the left rear cable duct.

The 2-pin connector that is installed as standard is no longer required (insulate and strap down with felt tape).

10 Route auto pilot system wiring harness (1) further forward in the cable duct.

11 Expose pink (rs) and brown/pink (br/rs) lines of vehicle wiring harness as per picture and disconnect.

The lines have a cross section of 1.5 mm2 and are twisted with each other.

12 Connect pink line (rs) of vehicle wiring harness that goes to left rear door with pink line (rs) of auto pilot system wiring harness (1) using a solder connector.
13 Connect brown/pink line (br/rs) of vehicle wiring harness that goes to left rear door to brown/pink line (br/rs) of auto pilot system wiring harness (1) using a solder connector.
14 Use felt tape to insulate the pink line (rs) and brown/pink line (br/rs) of the vehicle wiring harness that are routed to the front, and route into the cable duct.

Shown on model 211.0

15 Detach both pink lines (rs) of black, 10-pin wake-up signal connector (X30/8) from auto pilot system wiring harness (1) and install into one of the contact cavities of the standard installed black, 10-pin wake-up signal connector (X30/8).

16.1 Vehicles without code (272) Telephone preinstallation (non-networked) incl. telephone antenna
- Route violet, 2-pin radio 'mute' plug distributor (X30/12) from auto pilot system wiring harness (1) into the cable duct.
- Insulate and strap down connector using felt tape (no longer required).

16.2 Vehicles with code (272) Telephone preinstallation (non-networked) incl. telephone antenna
- Expose and separate radio 'mute' plug distributor (X30/12) in left front cable duct.
- Insulate plug of standard installed radio 'mute' plug distributor (X30/12) with felt tape and strap down in cable duct (no longer required).
- Connect plug of radio 'mute' plug distributor (X30/12) from auto pilot system wiring harness (1) with standard installed coupling of radio 'mute' plug distributor (X30/12) and route into cable duct.

17 Expose and detach white, 2-pin cockpit wiring harness and FFS connector (X18/35) in the cable duct.

The white, 2-pin coupling is no longer required and is strapped down in the cable duct.

18 Connect the white, 2-pin coupling of the auto pilot system wiring harness (1) with the white, 2-pin plug to the cockpit wiring harness and FFS connector (X18/35) and place into cable duct.
19 Connect brown line from auto pilot system wiring harness (1) to ground (left footwell) (W15/2).
20 Branch off branch-off line with Bordeaux red fuse carrier for fuse 28 (F34f28) and branch-off line with black, 4-pin connector for radio control panel and navigation unit (A2/56) from wiring harness for auto pilot system (1) (see arrows).

The black, 4-pin coupling is assigned one pink, one brown and one red/yellow line (rt/ge).

21 Continue routing the wiring harness for auto pilot system (1) along the parking brake cable (16) to the radio recess and secure in place.
22 Route red/yellow line (rt/ge) with Bordeaux red fuse carrier to the interior fuse box (F34).
23 Remove existing, Bordeaux red fuse carrier for fuse 28 (F34f28) from interior fuse box (F34), remove fuse, insulate with felt tape and strap down (no longer required).
24 Insert Bordeaux red fuse carrier from wiring harness for auto pilot system (1) into slot 28 of the interior fuse box (F34).

25 Secure branch-off line of Bordeaux red fuse carrier for fuse 28 (F34f28) in place on wiring harness for auto pilot system (1).

Plug position 28 is color coded.

26 Insulate antenna line (17) with felt tape and strap down (no longer required).
