Component Identification:






1.1 Remove MOST connector (41) from standard radio connector and install in radio adapter connector (40) on FSE 12 wiring harness (if installed).

Do not kink optical waveguide, route over sharp edges or bend in radii Risk of breakage! smaller than 25 mm. Tensile forces on inserts must not exceed 65 N. Do not squeeze fiber optical cable and do not compress with clamps or tie straps.







2 Connect standard radio connector (42) to radio adapter plug (39) on FSE 12 interface wiring harness (3).
3 Connect radio adapter connector (40) of FSE 12 wiring harness (3) to radio (A2).
4 Route the remaining plugs and connectors of the FSE 12 wiring harness (3) through the radio recess into the right front passenger footwell.





Component Identification:






5 Fasten branch-off line with interface connector (19) of FSE 12 wiring harness (3) as shown in right footwell.

The interface connector (19) of the FSE 12 wiring harness (3) may only be fastened as from a length of 250 mm (see arrow). The interface connector (19) is connected at a later stage to the handsfree system interface.

6 Fasten FSE 12 wiring harness (3) to given lines on AC housing (8) and route further into the cable duct on the right front doorsill.


Component Identification:






7 Connect antenna connector (34) of retrofitted antenna line (33) with antenna plug (32) of telephone console with PSC adapter.
8 Fasten this connection using cable ties to the vehicle's wiring harness in the front passenger footwell.







9 The speaker branch-off line (11) and the speaker plug (1) are left on the right A-pillar.

The speaker plug (1) is connected at a later stage to the hands-free system speaker.

10 The microphone branch-off line (12) and the microphone connector (4) are initially left on the right A-pillar.

The microphone connector (4) is routed further at a later stage and connected to the hands-free system microphone.
The FSE 12 wiring harness (3) must be routed under the bracket (see arrow).
