GF82.60-P-3115-04TC Radio Control Panel, Function

GF82.60-P-3115-04TC Radio Control Panel, Function

The control buttons and control switches of the function keypad in the radio (A2) are read in by the microcontroller and provided to the central computer. Depending on the system function, the button operations are processed further in the central computer or conveyed via the MOST system (Media Oriented Systems Transport), CAN-B or CAN-C in the form of a data telegram to the additional system components.
The radio (A2) switches on if the ON button on the rotary controller is pressed. The volume is regulated at the rotary controller for the audio source adjusted in each case. The main function keys switch over to the audio source desired by the user or telephone. If the user presses the "tone adjustment" function key, the following default settings can be changed:
^ Bass
^ Treble
^ Balance
^ Fader
^ Volume adaptation
^ Traffic reports
^ Spatial sound

The audio source currently being listened to is muted via the "Mute" function. The radio output signal is suppressed and the CD drive goes into the pause status. If the user presses the "Tel send button", a phone call is received or accepted. The call is ended by pressing the "Tel end button".

The numbers block can be used for the following requests:
Input the desired phone number
^ Calling up or storing a station
^ Direct input of a radio frequency
^ Selecting a CD
^ Direct input of a CD track

The cross rocker (cursor button) can for example be used to search in the phone book or in order to carry out fixed programmed commands at the respective function level. If the user operates one of the two"search" function keys, this function is carried out at the function level which is just current.

Brightness adjustment
For better perception of the readout in the display, continuous brightness adjustment via the cross rocker is possible.

Off-board diagnosis, STAR DIAGNOSIS
The radio (A2) has its own diagnostic trouble code memory. When the diagnostic trouble code memory is diagnosed by means of STAR DIAGNOSIS, the data are transmitted to the radio (A2) via MOST and can then be read out via the interface at the central gateway control module (N93).
Output of the errors on the display unit is not possible.

"Traffic information" function
The characteristics of the radio upon receipt of a traffic report depends on the respective function status. Traffic reports are ignored if the user has not activated the "Traffic information" function.
If traffic reports are accepted, the control panel changes to the "DISPLAY TRAFFIC REPORTS" and fades in the INF symbol in view box 1. In the process the control panel changes to the function status.
The volume of the messages corresponds to the corresponding default setting. The station name is also shown in the process. At the end of the traffic report, the display again changes into the function status active before that, with the volume being regulated to the level last adjusted.

The display of the radio (A2) is divided up into 6 view boxes.
The following are displayed
Panel 1 Function status
Panel 2 User information
Panel 3...6 Function groups

Some of these displays are shown in symbols.
Function groups:

User information:
