Auxiliary Cabin Heater Control Module: Service and Repair

AR83.70-P-0003T Remove/Install Telestart Receiver
- with CODE (228) Stationary heater







Testing
1 Check Telestart transmitter

NOTE: Is function guaranteed?

Remove/install
2 Disconnect battery ground line
3 Remove side paneling in trunk

NOTE: Paneling on right side only.

4 Unscrew nuts (1)
5 Remove receiver for stationary heater's radio remote control (A6/1) with bracket (4) from right wheelhouse
6 Slide bracket (4) in direction of arrow from STH radio remote control receiver (A6/1)

NOTE: To do so lift locking hooks (5) of bracket (4) using a slotted screwdriver.

7 Detach antenna line (2) and electrical connector (3) from STH radio remote control receiver (A6/1)
8 Install in the reverse order.
9 Teach-in Telestart transmitter.

Inspecting
10 Switch on STH heater unit with STF radio remote control transmitter.

NOTE: When the vehicle's internal heater unit's recirculating pump and combustion air blower start up and fuel metering pump delivers, switch off stationary heater unit.
