Problem
Incorrect installation of air intake hose can lead to damage at the turbocharger (2).

Cause
If air intake hose is attached to the turbocharger (2) with the sealing ring (1) in place, the sealing ring (1) will be crushed. Parts of the crushed sealing ring (1) may then be sucked in and the compressor turbine wheel of the turbocharger (2) severely damaged.

Remedy:
Fit the sealing ring (1) prior to installing the air intake hose to the compressor housing of the turbocharger (2), and then fit the air intake hose.
