The fuel filter is located above the charge air distribution pipe.

Task
The fuel filter filters out the impurities from the fuel and prevents contamination in the fuel injection system.
The fuel filter also filters and stores water found in the fuel.

Design
The fuel filter consists of a sheet metal housing with an integrated filter element.
The bottom section of the filter housing is used as a stored for the retained water.

Function
The fuel flows through the filter element from the outside to the inside. Contaminants and water are retained by this process.
