DANGER:
- Risk of explosion from electrolytic gas. Risk of poisoning and caustic burns from swallowing battery electrolyte. Risk of injury with caustic burns to eyes and skin from battery electrolyte or from handling damaged lead-acid batteries
- No fire, sparks, naked flames or smoking.
- Wear acid-resistant gloves, clothing and eye protection. Pour battery electrolyte only into suitable and appropriately marked containers


1 Check fluid level of battery

NOTE: If the fluid level is not visible from outside Unscrew plugs on battery cells

2 Unscrew plugs on battery cells

CAUTION:
- The mat battery is maintenance-free.
- Identification of mat battery: Black housing, imprint VRLA.


3 Correct fluid level of battery

CAUTION:
- Not with mat battery.
- The mat battery is maintenance-free.
- Identification of mat battery: Black housing, imprint VRLA.


NOTE: The battery cells are correctly filled

when the electrolyte is approx. 12-15 mm above the plates or extends up to the visible marking.

4 Screw in plugs
