AR83.25-P-1401Q Remove/Install Air Inlet







DANGER:
- Risk of injury by trapping or crushing, in extreme cases with loss of limbs when working on windshield wiper mechanism
- Always remove ignition key when working on windshield wiper mechanism.
- Risk of explosion from explosive gas. Risk of poisoning and caustic burns from swallowing battery electrolyte. Risk of injury with caustic burns to eyes and skin from battery electrolyte or from handling damaged lead-acid batteries
- No fire, sparks, naked flames or smoking.
- Wear acid-resistant gloves, clothing and eye protection. Pour battery electrolyte only into suitable and appropriately marked containers.


1 Open engine hood
2 Remove dust filter housing
3 Pull water collector (4) out of windshield fram

NOTE: Use pulling hooks to pull water collector (4) in direction of arrows out of windshield frame and remove to level of right-hand wiper shaft.

- See "Special Tools" given below.

4 Remove nuts (5)
5 Unscrew nuts (6)
6 Remove air inlet

NOTE: Slightly raise water collector (4).

7 Install in the reverse order.
