AR77.37-P-4190QA Remove/Install Hydraulic Cylinder For Soft Top Bow







DANGER!
- Injury hazard from roll bar extending
- Before working in the area of the roll bar pull rear head restraints out by hand.
- Risk of injury. Moving parts can pinch, crush or, in extreme cases even sever extremities.
- Keep body parts and limbs well clear of moving parts.
- Risk of injury to skin or eyes from hydraulic fluid spraying out under pressure. Risk of poisoning from swallowing hydraulic fluid.
- Release the pressure in the hydraulic system completely before starting any work on the system. Wear protective clothing and safety glasses.


1 Close soft top

NOTE: Leave soft top bow and soft top compartment cover in upright position

2 Cover vehicle in rear area

NOTE: To prevent scratching the paint during assembly work.

3 Expose hydraulic line (6) and hydraulic line (7).

CAUTION!
If necessary, detach cable strap and electric leads to prevent leads from damage.


4 Unclip safety bolts (2) and pull out
5 Remove fuse (3) from bolt (4).
6 Pull out bolt (4) and pull hydraulic cylinder (1) out of main bearing.
7 Remove hydraulic cylinder (1)
8 Remove fuses (5) and pull out hydraulic line (6) and hydraulic line (7)
9 Plug hydraulic line (6) and hydraulic line (7) with plug

CAUTION!
Use plug from brake caliper vent nipple


10 Install in reverse order
11 Check for proper function and leakage
