Close trunk lid using trunk lid open/close switch, driver
The trunk lid can be closed from the vehicle interior via the trunk lid open/close switch, driver For this purpose, it is necessary to actuate the switch during the entire closing procedure.When the actuation is interrupted, closing is stopped. Actuation of the trunk lid opening and closing switch, driver is read in by the left door control unit and is transmitted to the pneumatic control unit and the RSC control unit via the CAN-B.
The rear SAM control unit reads in the status of the pawl rotary tumbler switch and transmits the signal "Trunk lid unlocked" to the pneumatic control unit and the UVS control unit.

The RSC control unit then actuates the RVC hydraulic unit to close the trunk lid. The RSC control unit monitors the closing procedure using the trunk lid position sensor. The pneumatic control unit recognizes locking via the pawl rotary tumbler switch. Then the trunk lid is completely closed pneumatically by the power closing via the CL remote trunk opening valve.

Actuation of the RTC button is read in by the pneumatic control unit and transmitted to the RSC control unit via CAN-B. The RSC control unit then actuates the RVC hydraulic unit to close the trunk lid. The RSC control unit monitors the closing procedure with the aid of the trunk lid position sensor.

The pneumatic control unit recognizes locking via the pawl rotary tumbler switch. Then the trunk lid is completely closed pneumatically with power closing via the remote trunk opening CL valve

Close trunk lid with RTC button (with code (889) Keyless Go)

With code (889) Keyless Go, the RTC button is designed as a two-piece element.When the left button is actuated, the trunk lid is closed, when the right button is actuated, the trunk lid is closed and then the vehicle is locked.

The function sequence is identical to closing the trunk lid with the RTC button (without code (889) Keyless Go). However, the transmitter key is checked for validity inside and outside the vehicle. The access authorization is checked by the EIS control unit.

If a valid transmitter key (A8/1) is recognized and if this key is not in the vehicle interior, the vehicle is additionally locked pneumatically after closing the trunk lid.

Pressing the RTC button during an activated trunk lid closing operation is evaluated as an emergency stop. The trunk lid closing operation is interrupted.

Hydraulic actuation
The RSC control unit actuates the RVC hydraulic unit to open the trunk lid. The RVC hydraulic unit contains the RTC proportioning valve (A7/5y3). The hydraulic volume flow is transmitted to the distribution block via the RTC proportioning valve. The distribution block distributes the hydraulic volume to the hydraulic cylinder
