Component Identification:

Switching over from selective to global unlocking
When unlocking, it is possible to select between selective and global unlocking. The buttons on the transmitter key can be used for selection.
When the "Unlock vehicle" and "Lock vehicle" buttons are pushed and held simultaneously for approx. 5 s, it is switched over from selective to global unlocking or vice versa.

The indicator on the transmitter key comes on once to confirm the changeover.
The setting selected remains permanently stored.

Function
When the "Unlock vehicle" transmit button is pressed, the transmitter key sends a radio and infrared signal to the relevant receiver in the vehicle.
The radio signal is transmitted to the overhead control panel control unit via the right antenna amplifier module. It transmits it to the EIS control unit via CAN B bus.
The infrared signal is read by the IR receiver and is transmitted by the door control unit to the EIS control unit via CAN B bus. The EIS control unit checks the access authorization of the transmitter key.
If the access authorization is valid, the EIS control unit transmits the " Unlock" command to the pneumatic control unit via CAN B bus.
The pneumatic control unit actuates the pneumatic actuators to unlock.

Setting selective unlocking
The following components are unlocked: Driver door
^ Driver door
^ Fuel filler flap
^ Stowage compartments (glove compartment, right and left rear box and center console stowage compartment).

When the "Unlock vehicle" transmit button is actuated again, the
^ passenger door and
^ the trunk lid
are unlocked.

Setting global unlocking
The following components are unlocked:
^ Doors
^ Fuel filler flap
^ Trunk lid
^ Stowage compartments (glove compartment, right and left rear box and center console stowage compartment).

Unlocking is indicated by all turn signal lamps flashing momentarily three times

When global and selective unlocking is performed with the transmitter key, the following interior switches are enabled.

^ 'Unlock CL [ZV]' interior switch (S6/5s2)
^ 'Lock CL [ZV]' interior switch and ATA function indicator (S6/5s3)

The stowage compartments are not unlocked, if they are locked with the doorman function.
