Component Identification:

Location
The digital TV tuner is located on a bracket in the trunk on the right side wall behind the paneling.

Task
The digital TV tuner has the following tasks:
^ Reading in digital TV signals
^ Evaluating input factors
^ Output of output values
^ Exchange of control commands and transfer of audio signals and data for the auxiliary TV services (e.g. videotext, DVB-T data services)

Reading in digital TV signals
The input factors are read in with the following connections:
^ Direct entries
- Power supply via circuit 31 and circuit 30g over one direct line each
- Electronic wake-up for Media Oriented System Transport (MOST) via one direct line
- Antennas for reception of digital TV signals
- Digital TV signals via a coaxial line from the TV 1 to 4 antennas in the windshield via the left antenna amplifier module (A2/64) and right antenna amplifier module (A2/65)

Evaluation of input factors
The amplified TV signals are evaluated internally and separated into video and audio signals.

Output of output values
The output values are output via the following connection:
^ Direct outputs
- Control/supply line for antenna amplifier module
- Y/C line (video output)

Exchange of control commands and transfer of audio signals and data for the auxiliary TV services (e.g. videotext, DVB-T data services)
^ MOST signals
^ CAN signals
