During trips within the digitized map area, the following information calculated by the navigation processor of the COMAND operating, display and control module (A40/3) is available to the user:
^ Current position and vehicle route on digital map (illustrated graphically)
^ Route list
^ Distance from the destination and likely time up to arrival
^ Direction recommendation
^ Direction indication arrow
^ Name of the road currently being traveled along
^ Name of the next road into which the vehicle should turn
^ Distance to next turning point (specified in units of length or as beam diagram)
Three types of display are possible for route guidance:
^ Map
^ map and symbol display before turning points
^ Symbol display (route guidance symbols)
The scale of the map can be changed in stages (100 m/cm to 500 km/cm). It may additionally be selected whether the map is aligned in the direction of travel (Head-Up) or towards the North (North-Up).
As of 1.7.02 the map scale of 50 m/cm can be adjusted.
Blaupunkt Travelpilot DX navigation CD
With this CD separate direction lanes (fine geometry) are displayed automatically. The navigation CD with the most up-to-date fine geometry is recognized automatically and the graphics displayed in an optimized second line thickness.
Actual destination guidance is significantly supported via voice output.
